Walks from Hethpool house.
We tend to separate the walks into two categories.
1. Those where you can start from the house.
and
2. Those where you need to drive a little way into the valley.
Walks which start from the house.
Local strolls
1. Exploring the lake and Hethpool Linn.Maybe see the wild or feral goats.
2. Hethpool Mill, water meadows and the Harrow bog.
Local walks
3. Great Hetha and a circular walk around the Elsdonburn Valley.
4.The Hill fort walk to Ring Chesters
5. The Western Hills.
6.Newton Tors.
Walks which need a short drive into the valley.
7. The Schil.
8. Braydon Crags
9. The Cheviot itself.
10. The Hen hole and the wilderness
11. St Cuthberts Way
12. The Pennine Way.
Hethpool house in the College Valley 
Hethpool House lies on the Ravenber Way. This is a coast to coast walk of 210 miles, from Ravenglass in Cumbria to Berwick-upon-Tweed in Northumberland.

I wish to have details of Coast to Coast on the Ravenber Way included on the Hethpool House News Letter and blog. I am working on a new book describing a long distance walk from Settle to Berwick-upon-Tweed. As a personal friend and associate of Alfred Wainwright, the book will contain route descriptions, as well as personal memories, tales and anecdotes.
