Hethpool Lake

The lake is just a short stroll from the house. It is a man made lake which was built to power very early electricity generators. There are now proper footpaths but as long as you have stout footwear and are careful then it is possible to explore and enjoy the lake. There is an old fish run, summer house and boat house. Often there are swans on the lake and the sides are usually full with water lilly’s.

It is possible to fish the lake however the catch is often small and not too edible.

The lake is very popular with photographers.
